Seriously. He made this. On our new sewing machine that I got for graduation (even cooler because he gave up his graduation gift so that I could get it). His mom and grandma helped pick out the fabric which I LOVE. This picture really does not do it justice. It is made out of minkee so it is soft and each color has a different texture. It feels awesome when you touch it.
Also, it should be noted that said blanket was made in a few short hours AND it was the first thing he has ever made on a sewing machine AND basically the first time he has ever even used one. This is what happens when you leave a husband home alone for a week with a brand new toy. I decided that it really does not matter what the toy is, it will be played with.
I'm a little nervous to start my own sewing projects, I don't know if I can live up to this.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love my life? I have the greatest husband.

Don't start any of your own sewing projects. Just buy the fabric then go out of town!
I showed the girls the blanket. I said, Uncle Rob made this for Ellie, Lucy said "wait, no that can't be true." She really won't believe me. I believe it and I am VERY impressed. But, Rob does work with machines all day....so....you know. And he is smart. I love the blanket and minkee too. A few of my friends husbands make them skirts and clothes and you would never guess without asking...pretty cool!
P.S. I do not think it is a coincidnce that your husband's name is Rob. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. this is so funny. lucy didn't believe it! hahhaha. rob is better at sewing than i am.
This is incredible. I never would have expected this from a guy. Wow Rob, awesome!
