I woke up this morning feeling extreme withdrawal. I miss my class. I miss my first graders. I miss teaching. And this is only the first day off. So, I cheered myself up by going through a few notes that were given to me and others (yes I stole them) throughout the year and I thought I would share the best. I've typed them exactly as they are written. Spelling mistakes and all.
Dear Mrs. Campbell,

(Considering she has only had two teachers in her life, I would say this is not very good odds!)
And a few conversations in the past month or so.
Student (girl): Hi Mrs. Campbell, how's it going?
Me: It's going great how about you?
Girl: Pretty good. How's the baby?
Me: The baby's good.
Girl: So there's no problems or anything?
Me: Nope, no problems.
Girl: Do you feel her move a lot.
Me: Yup
Girl: Ok, well next time you feel her move just let me know so I can come and watch.
Me: Ok...
Before reading a book called Itchy, Itchy Chicken Pox:
Me: Has anyone ever had chicken pox before? Who can tell us what they look like?
Student (boy): Well, they kind of look like those two things on your chin. (pointing to two zits on my face.)
Me: Uh-huh.
Yesterday was the last day of school and one of my students wrote the following in my yearbook:
Dear Mrs. Campbell
I love you. You are the best teacher I have ever had.
P.S I will hate my summer.
I also had a student cry for about 20 minutes because she didn't want to leave. She came back to my classroom several times just to 'say goodbye one more time'. It was so sweet. Made me cry too.
Well, now that the year is over I have other (more exciting) things to prepare for. Two more weeks and I'm sure I won't be missing my class at all. I have a few days to get my life organized, relax a little, and clean things up a bit before she arrives. I can't wait.

I loved every single one of those. Thank you for sharing.
Hahahahaha so so cute!
Love it. 7 more days until Sophie comes!! How about if she is born on the day I guess (Sunday, June 6), I get to spend your chase rewards??? Seems fair and sounds like a good idea to me!! ;)
Wanna hang out Wednesday afternoon? I'm going to work in Provo in the morning and then I'm free after about 1:00.
haha...deal. If she's born on the 6th you can share it with me (because then we would both technically be winners). Yes. You're on for Wednesday as long as I get to watch Wes in the morning.
