Updates

A few things that have happened:

1.  Over Presidents Day weekend Rob surprised me with a trip to Colorado to see Katie, Matt and the girls.  It was so much fun.  The girls get cuter every time we see them!  We arrived in the Denver Airport (Which is insane by the way.  They don't even let you walk from terminal to terminal, they make you ride this crazy tram every where)  Friday night and Matt picked us up and after picking up some Valentines Day surprises for the girls, we picked up some delicious sushi for dinner.  If you are ever in Colorado, Louisville to be exact, you should definitely take a peak at Sushi Yoshi.

2.  Valentines Day.  After an eventful morning of playing fairies with the girls, we went to theDenver Museum of Nature and Science.  They have a new exhibit for natural disasters calledNature Unleashed.  It was incredible.  They have tornado simulations, build your own volcano activities, and tons of video footage of current disasters.  It was really sad to see some of it, but pretty informative and interesting as well.  Lucy had a hard time wrapping her mind around some of it.  It took some convincing to assure her that she was not going to die from a Tornado, and that people have warning to get away from most of these disasters.  We also made pretty tasty treats-Oreo Truffles-recommended by Laura!  The girls definitely enjoyed it.

Later that night, we had an AMAZING Valentines Tea at the Huckleberry Cafe.  Here's a picture:
They had this cute set up complete with white lace table cloth, flower tea-cups, and of course a three tier platter full of wonderful pastries, and sandwiches.  Rob and Matt loved it of course!!!  Ok, they may have felt a little silly, but they were good sports about it and we had a great time.  Katie and Matt are some of our favorite people to be with, so of course it was awesome.

2.  Sunday.  Church and rest of course.  But I was also introduced to one of Katie's favorite movies Howl's Moving Castle which is actually a Disney production believe it or not.  I really liked it.  It definitely needs to be added to our collection.

3.  Monday.  We had a little bit of time before our flight home, so we visited Boulder to check out some of the stores.  When I'm rich...or maybe no longer a student, I am buying all of my kitchen decorations/plates/dishes from Peppercorn.  It is the sweetest place ever.  And has some of the coolest stuff.  There was also this awesome toy store...I basically wanted to buy everything, but couldn't justify it...I don't have kids yet.

Eden and Carmen in Boulder

4.  On the way home, Lucy, Carmen and I played a the picture game in the car!  Eden was sleeping, so both of the girls pretended to sleep too:
