Back to the babe sleeping 13+ hours at night and taking long naps.
Back to sewing.
Back to responsibility.
I miss the warm weather and my family, but it's nice to have a sense of normalcy again. Sophie, on the other hand, is having withdrawals. I can not leave the room/ look away from her without her crying. What this means for me: I get to hold her while doing my daily routine or listen to a crying (fake crying might I add) baby all day. I hope this phase passes.
Speaking of, she's changed a lot in the past two months. They can seem the same for so long and then suddenly they are much bigger/smarter/stronger all in one day.
In the past two months she has learned to sit up on her own, roll to get wherever she pleases, suck on her toes, pull herself up from a sitting position, balance herself on furniture while standing, scoot forward but mostly backwards, and get up onto her hands and knees like she's going to crawl. No crawling yet. I'm sort of glad. I feel like she's getting too big too fast.
She also eats all kinds of solid foods. She loves avocado, banana, all kinds of squashes, green beans, oatmeal, prunes and occasionally enjoys chewing on an apple slice or pineapple core.
Banana squash anyone?
She spent her first day at the park in 80+ degree weather in the middle of December (did I mention I LOVE Arizona).
And enjoyed her first Christmas. She was spoiled.
Cousin matchy matchy.
New toys.
Oh man. I love this girl.
